Hi I’m Joe Crane a 24 year Military Veteran and the founder and host of the Speaking of Heroes podcast. I’m here to help our heroes from the military by connecting them with their audience through live speaking events and empowering them to become their own entrepreneurs. This is my way of giving back to our veterans and their communities.
In 2006, U.S. Marine Corporal Josh Bleill lost both of his legs in Fallujah Iraq. The people of Indianapolis, Indiana followed their hometown hero’s recovery during his two years of rehabilitation at Walter Reed medical hospital. The Indianapolis Colts met Josh during his struggle and when he finally made it home to Indianapolis, the Colts took Josh under their wing and made him the team’s community spokesperson. Today, Josh has corporate sponsors, a book deal and a great job with a NFL football team. Josh Bleill is an inspiring success story. Unfortunately, for every Josh Bleill, there are thousands of others like Josh that don’t have the Indianapolis Colts.
Idea Behind Speaking of Heroes
These heroes need an organization that will train, promote and manage their public speaking careers. Speaking of Heroes will put them on a stage and give them a captive audience. These heroes deserve to be heard. They have a story to tell. We can all benefit and learn from their stories.
